Configure Payment Protection and Gateway Checks
Protect WooCommerce payment methods with Blacklist Manager gateway checks, Stripe analysis, PayPal verification, AVS, and country rules.
Payment Protection uses payment-related signals to reduce fraud and prevent risky customers from using selected gateways.
Disable Payment Gateways for Suspects
You can disable selected payment methods when the customer is already on the Suspects list. This is useful when you want suspected customers to use safer payment methods only.
Example: allow bank transfer or manual review methods, but disable card gateways for suspected customers.
Payment Gateway Protection
Gateway protection lets Blacklist Manager read supported payment signals and use them in automation or scoring rules.
Enable this before using AVS, card country, PayPal payer mismatch, or Stripe fraud analysis features.
Stripe Fraud Analysis
If enabled and Stripe data is available, the order risk score metabox can show Stripe risk level, risk score, and fraud flags.
Use Stripe analysis as an extra payment-provider signal. It does not replace your local risk score or Global Blacklist result.
PayPal Payer Email Verification
If the PayPal payer email does not match the WooCommerce customer email, the plugin can send a verification email and place the order on hold until the payer verifies.
This is useful when PayPal mismatches are common in risky orders but still possible for legitimate customers.
AVS and Card Country Checks
AVS and card-country checks are configured as automation or scoring rules. They help identify orders where payment details do not align with customer details.
High-Risk Countries
Add countries to the high-risk list when your business has evidence that card fraud from those countries is more common. Avoid using this feature as a broad country ban unless your policy requires it.
Recommended Setup
- Enable payment gateway protection.
- Enable Stripe fraud analysis if you use Stripe and want it shown on orders.
- Use PayPal payer verification before blocking PayPal mismatches.
- Set AVS and card-country checks to Treat as score first.
- Disable risky gateways for Suspects only after confirming it does not hurt normal checkout.
