Configure Phone Number Accounts
Configure international phone accounts and deterministic country selection across registration, login, account, Classic Checkout, and Checkout Blocks.
Version 2.1.2 initializes the phone country without an external IP geolocation request. It prioritizes an existing E.164 phone, the WooCommerce session, checkout/customer address, store country, and allowed-country fallback.
Open the feature
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Membership > Advanced.
Configure phone identity
- Choose whether phone can replace email as the username.
- Configure allowed countries and the default store country.
- Enable required phone verification only after testing the SMS provider.
- Test registration, login, checkout account creation, and Account details.
Country synchronization
Billing and shipping dial-code selectors follow country changes in Classic Checkout and Checkout Blocks while preserving an explicit selection and existing E.164 number.
Verify the result
- Local trunk zero is normalized consistently.
- An existing international number restores the correct country.
- Changing billing or shipping country does not overwrite an explicit valid E.164 value.
