Configure Redeeming Points at Cart and Checkout
Configure WooCommerce point redemption at cart and checkout so customers can use points safely without breaking store margins.
Point redemption lets customers use available points as a discount during cart or checkout.

Enable Using Points
- Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Loyalty → General.
- Enable Using points.
- Set Redeem rules.
- Save changes.
Set Redeem Rules
Redeem rules define how many points equal a store discount.
Example: 10 points for 1.00 means a customer can exchange 100 points for a 10.00 discount.
You can also set:
- Minimum points: the smallest amount a customer can redeem.
- Maximum points: the largest amount a customer can redeem in one order.
- Minimum cart value: customers can only use points when the cart subtotal reaches this amount.

Individual Use Only
Enable Individual use only if redeemed points should not be combined with other coupons. This is recommended when point redemption is already generous.
Show Redemption on Cart and Checkout
Go to Loyalty → Customization and enable Cart and/or Checkout messages. Customers must be logged in and have enough available points to see the redemption box.
Test Redemption
- Give a test customer enough available points.
- Add a product to cart.
- Open cart or checkout.
- Apply points.
- Confirm the discount appears and totals update correctly.
If rewards are issued as coupons or free shipping, also configure Create Coupons and Free Shipping From Points.
