Configure Booking Rules, Access, and Customer Policies
Set lead time, booking window, slot interval, default status, guest access, required fields, marketing consent, and self-service deadlines.

General settings control who may book, what customer details are required, how far ahead appointments may be created, and when customers may cancel or reschedule.
Open the feature
Go to Yo Booking > Settings > General.
Before you start
- Define the operational lead time and maximum booking horizon.
- Review the privacy basis for required contact fields and marketing consent.
Recommended workflow
- Set the default currency and company contact details.
- Configure slot interval, lead time, booking window, and default appointment status.
- Enable or disable guest booking and customer staff selection.
- Choose whether email, phone, and explicit marketing consent are required.
- Set cancellation and rescheduling deadlines.
- Configure notification sender details and save.
What success looks like
- Invalid dates or incomplete required details are rejected.
- Customer self-service respects the configured deadlines while administrators retain controlled override tools.
Important notes
- Database timestamps are normalized, while displayed dates follow WordPress settings.
- Collect only the customer data the business needs.

- General is grouped into Company information, Regional settings, Booking rules, and Customer booking; Default currency now belongs to Payments.
- Choose a default phone country. Saved profile data, an existing E.164 number, the guest session, this setting, then the WordPress locale determine the effective country.
- Choose the company logo from the Media Library and verify its inline preview before saving.
