Recommended First Setup for Advanced Accounts Premium

Advanced Accounts Premium can change sensitive parts of your store: login, registration, checkout account creation, phone numbers, verification, and memberships. A safe first setup prevents accidental lockouts and customer support issues.

Recommended Setup Order

1. Install Premium and activate the license.
2. Set up SMS if you plan to use phone verification or OTP login.
3. Configure account creation options.
4. Test registration with a new test customer.
5. Enable verification options one by one.
6. Customize My Account endpoints after the login flow works.
7. Set up membership only after normal accounts are stable.

Starter Settings for Most Stores

For a typical store, start with a conservative setup:

• Keep normal email login active at first.
• Enable first and last name fields if you want cleaner customer records.
• Enable phone account login only if phone numbers are important for your market.
• Enable email verification before phone verification if you are not ready to pay for SMS messages.
• Keep password login enabled until OTP has been fully tested.
• Enable user blocking only for stores that need manual account control.

When to Use Phone Login

Phone login works best when your customers naturally identify themselves by phone number, such as local delivery stores, WhatsApp-heavy businesses, membership stores, or regions where phone numbers are more reliable than email addresses.

If your customers frequently mistype phone numbers, start with email registration first and introduce phone verification later.

When to Use OTP Login

OTP login reduces password support requests because customers can sign in with a code sent to their phone or email. It is useful for stores with many repeat customers who do not remember passwords.

Do not disable passwords immediately. First enable OTP login, test it with multiple devices, confirm SMS or email delivery, then decide whether passwordless login is right for your store.

Testing Checklist

1. Create a new customer account from the My Account page.
2. Create an account during checkout.
3. Log out and log back in.
4. Try password reset.
5. If phone verification is enabled, request a code and enter the code.
6. If OTP login is enabled, complete one OTP login from a private browser window.
7. If membership is enabled, buy a membership product and confirm access changes.
