Return approval lets staff review return reasons, requested resolution, scope, selected items, and attachments before accepting or rejecting the request.

Configure Return Manager Actions

  1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Orders → Returns.
  2. Find Store manager actions.
  3. Enable Return request approval.
  4. Select the status used when a return is approved.
  5. Add approval and rejection notices.
  6. Enable Shop Manager permission if needed.
  7. Save changes.

Approve a Return

  1. Go to WooCommerce → Orders.
  2. Open an order with a return request.
  3. Review the reason, resolution, scope, and selected items.
  4. Click the approve button.
  5. Confirm the order status or order notes reflect the approval.

Reject a Return

  1. Open the requested return order.
  2. Click the reject button.
  3. Enter a clear rejection reason.
  4. Submit the rejection.
  5. Confirm the order returns to the configured return status.

Partial Return Note

For specific-item returns, the plugin can keep the original order status unchanged and store the selected items in order meta/notes. If Advanced Order Actions is active, approved specific-item returns can also trigger automatic splitting.
