Queue processing avoids one long request and keeps per-attachment status, failures, and estimated savings visible.
Open the feature
Go to Media > Media Optimizer.
Before you start
- Schedule large jobs outside peak traffic.
Recommended workflow
- Analyze the library first.
- Start a bounded optimization queue.
- Monitor progress and failures.
- Open Media Library and sort or review the Savings column.
- Retry only failed attachments after resolving their cause.
What success looks like
- The queue reaches a terminal state.
- Savings and coverage totals reflect completed attachments.
Important notes
- Storage can temporarily increase because originals, sidecars, and backups coexist.
