Set Up Referrals
Set up WooCommerce referrals so customers can invite others and receive loyalty rewards when referral conditions are met.
Referrals help existing customers bring new customers to your store. WooCommerce Loyalty Premium supports referral links and referral coupons.
Open Referral Settings
- Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Loyalty → Referrals.
- Choose whether to enable referral via link, referral via coupon, or both.

Referral via Link
Link-based referrals give each customer a referral URL. When someone purchases through that link, the referrer and/or referee can receive points based on the configured rules.
Set per-level values for:
- Referrer earnings: points given to the customer who shared the link.
- Referee earnings: points given to the new customer.
Referral via Coupon
Coupon-based referrals create or provide a referral coupon for the customer to share.
Configure:
- Coupon format: random, user ID, or username.
- Discount type: percentage, fixed cart, or fixed product.
- Referrer earnings: points for the referring customer.
- Referee discounts: discount for the new customer.
Customer View
When referrals are enabled, customers can see referral options inside the My Points account page.
Recommended Launch
Start with referral coupons if your customers are used to sharing coupon codes. Use referral links if you want a simpler shareable URL.
Referral programs should also use clear customer emails. Review Configure Loyalty Email Notifications after setting referral rules.
Continue from WooCommerce Loyalty Points & Rewards documentation to the complete product workflow.
Evaluate product scope on the money page, use the pillar Guide for decisions and trade-offs, and return here for exact configuration.
