Troubleshoot Image Conversion and Delivery
Diagnose missing sidecars, unsupported AVIF, stale delivery, CDN caching, permissions, and failed restores.

Separate conversion failures from delivery failures: first prove the file exists, then prove the frontend selects it.
Open the feature
Go to Media > Media Optimizer > Delivery.
Before you start
- Record the attachment ID, source format, expected sidecar, and active image editor.
Recommended workflow
- Check file permissions and available engines.
- Open the sidecar URL directly.
- Run the Delivery tests.
- Purge page/CDN caches after delivery changes.
- Restore the original if visual quality or metadata is wrong.
What success looks like
- Conversion and delivery each have a clear pass/fail result.
- Fallback originals remain accessible during investigation.
Important notes
- Do not enable server-wide rewrites based only on one successful image.
