Start from the persistent job error and attachment ID instead of repeating a whole-library operation.
Open the feature
Go to Tools > Thumbnails.
Before you start
- Record job ID, operation, scope, cursor, and the first failing attachment.
Recommended workflow
- Verify original files and uploads permissions.
- Check that the current user owns/can manage the job.
- Resume after fixing the underlying error.
- Regenerate one attachment and inspect metadata.
- Restore from backup if a required generated file was pruned.
What success looks like
- The bounded test succeeds before a larger retry.
- Frontend image srcset no longer references missing files.
Important notes
- Do not manually delete the persistent job tables or manifest while a job is active.
