Troubleshooting Available Date or Auto Restock Does Not Work
Fix available date, expected restock, timezone, and scheduled availability update issues.
If the available date or automatic restock does not work, check the date, product status, and WordPress scheduled events.
Check the Product Status
The scheduled update is only useful when the product is still on preorder or backorder and has an available date.
Check Date Format and Timezone
Use the product field picker and save the product. Version 1.5.0 standardizes available-date parsing, formatting, and scheduling through the site timezone.
Check WordPress Cron
The automatic update uses scheduled events. If your site has low traffic or disabled WP-Cron, the event may not run on time. Use a real server cron for more reliable timing.
Check Expected Restock
If expected restock is empty or 0, the plugin can still change status, but it will not increase stock quantity.
Recommended Test
- Set a test product to preorder.
- Set available date a few minutes in the future.
- Set expected restock to 5.
- Place a test order.
- Wait for cron to run.
- Confirm stock status, stock quantity, order note, and customer email.
