Troubleshooting: Custom Statuses or Badges Look Wrong
Troubleshoot custom WooCommerce order statuses and badges when labels, colors, or status displays look wrong.
If custom statuses or badges look wrong, check the saved status settings and whether another plugin is also changing WooCommerce statuses.
Check the Status Slug
Custom statuses use a wc- prefixed internal key. Avoid changing slugs after orders already use the status.
Save the Status Edit Panel
When editing a label or colors, use the status edit save action. The normal WooCommerce save button is hidden on the Statuses section.
Check Color Contrast
If text is hard to read, choose a darker text color on light backgrounds or white text on dark backgrounds.
Check Other Status Plugins
If another plugin also creates or reorders statuses, test with that plugin disabled on staging to confirm which plugin controls the final display.
Do Not Delete Active Statuses
Move active orders to another status before deleting a custom status.

Evaluate product scope on the money page, use the pillar Guide for decisions and trade-offs, and return here for exact configuration.
