Troubleshooting Preorder or Backorder Button Is Not Showing
Fix missing preorder or backorder button text on simple and variable products.
If the button does not show preorder or backorder text, check the product setup first.
Check License and Settings
- Confirm the plugin license is active.
- Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Stock status.
- Confirm preorder and backorder button text is set.
Check Product Stock Status
For preorder products, the product stock status must be On preorder. For managed-stock products, enabling On preorders can force that status.
Check Variable Products
For variable products, the button may not change until a variation is selected. Make sure the selected variation is configured as preorder or backorder.
Check Cache and Theme Overrides
Some themes or product page builders override WooCommerce button text. Test with a default theme or disable product page customizations if needed.
