Upgrade from Extended Stock Status 1.5 to Stock Manager 2.0

Upgrade in place, review migration health, verify the protected Main warehouse, reconcile totals, and confirm retained preorder/backorder workflows.

Version 2.0 is an in-place product upgrade. The plugin directory, license product, options, metadata, hooks, and legacy admin URLs remain compatible.

Open the feature

Go to Stock Manager > Help & guides and Stock Manager > Settings.

Back up files and database.
Update the existing plugin without deleting or renaming its directory.
Complete onboarding only when prompted; existing stores are not reset.
Review migration health, checkpoints, journals, safe mode, and the protected Main warehouse.
Compare WooCommerce stock with Stock Manager on-hand totals and run reconciliation if offered.
Test one preorder and one backorder order with HPOS enabled.

Existing product dates, statuses, shipping, payment restrictions, campaigns, and snapshots remain available.
Legacy URLs redirect to the Stock Manager workspace.
Migration reports no unresolved blocking issue.
