The Delivery tab validates reachability and explains delivery choices without editing server configuration automatically.
Open the feature
Go to Media > Media Optimizer > Delivery.
Before you start
- Generate sidecars for representative images first.
- Include cached and CDN-served pages in the test plan.
Recommended workflow
- Run direct AVIF and WebP URL tests.
- Review server or CDN rewrite behavior.
- Enable HTML delivery on staging.
- Test browsers with and without modern format support.
- Confirm the JPEG/PNG fallback remains available.
What success looks like
- AVIF-capable browsers receive AVIF when fresh.
- WebP is the second choice and original formats remain the fallback.
Important notes
- The plugin does not edit .htaccess or CDN rules.

Cache-safe delivery in 1.0.1
- HTML delivery emits picture markup with AVIF first, WebP second, and the original JPEG/PNG as the cache-safe fallback.
- Purge page and CDN caches, then test a modern browser and a fallback request before enabling the mode on production.
