Use Stock Campaigns to Monitor Preorder and Backorder Demand

Use Products > Stock Campaigns to monitor active preorder and backorder products, reservations, revenue, and overdue dates.

Stock Campaigns gives staff one operational view for active preorder and backorder products. A campaign is active when a product or variation currently has an extended stock status.

Open Stock Campaigns

Go to Stock Manager > Inventory > Incoming stock. You can also use the Campaigns action link from the plugin row on the Plugins screen.

Dashboard Metrics

  • Active campaigns: active preorder/backorder products and variations.
  • Open orders: open WooCommerce orders that still contain the campaign product.
  • Reserved units: delayed units reserved by open orders.
  • Reserved revenue: order line revenue connected to active campaigns.
  • Overdue campaigns: campaigns with an available date in the past.
  • Delay notices due: campaigns where customers should be notified about a later available date.

Campaign Filters

Use the view filter to show all active campaigns, preorder campaigns, backorder campaigns, campaigns due in 7 days, overdue campaigns, or campaigns with delay notices due.

Campaign Table Columns

  • Product: product or variation name and admin edit link.
  • Status: preorder or backorder.
  • Available date: current ETA configured on the product.
  • Orders: open orders attached to the campaign.
  • Reserved: reserved units.
  • Revenue: reserved revenue total.
  • Restock qty: expected restock quantity.
  • Delay notices: delayed orders and pending notices.
  • Actions: includes the delay-notice action when available.
