What Thumbnail Manager Does

Understand registered sizes, missing thumbnails, recommendations, resumable jobs, and review-first pruning.

Thumbnail Manager helps control future thumbnail generation, rebuild missing sizes, and delete only an explicitly reviewed generated-file manifest.

Open the feature

Go to Tools > Thumbnails.

Before you start

Back up the uploads directory before regeneration or pruning.

Recommended workflow

Run Recommendations.
Review and save future Thumbnail Sizes.
Regenerate missing sizes.
Scan, review, and explicitly approve a Prune manifest only when appropriate.

What success looks like

Original full-size uploads remain protected.
Long operations can resume after reload or interruption.

Important notes

Thumbnail Manager does not compress images or replace a CDN/image optimizer.
