WooCommerce Stock Manager 2.0 is the in-place upgrade of Extended Stock Status. It keeps preorder/backorder customer workflows and adds an auditable inventory operating system.
Open the feature
Go to Stock Manager > Overview.
Understand the inventory model
- On hand: physical stock recorded by movements and locations.
- Incoming: expected quantity in restock batches or purchase orders.
- Reserved: order demand already committed.
- Available to sell: sellable on-hand quantity after reservations.
Use the workspace
- Inventory: stock levels, locations, movements, alerts.
- Purchasing: reorder suggestions, incoming stock, purchase orders, suppliers.
- Fulfillment: readiness queues, reservations, allocations.
- Reports, Integrations, Audit log, Help & guides, Settings: analysis and governance.
Important notes
- Do not delete or rename the existing wc-extended-stock-status plugin directory during upgrade.
- Optional modules can be enabled or disabled without removing the core inventory ledger.
