WooCommerce Loyalty Premium 1.2.0 Update Notes

WooCommerce Loyalty Premium 1.2.0, released on June 1, 2026, adds catalog-specific earning rules, redeemable products, a reward catalog shortcode, and a floating Loyalty information bubble.

What Changed

• Added product-level Loyalty settings for simple products.
• Added per-level product earning rules.
• Added per-level redeem-product point costs.
• Added per-level earning rules on product category add and edit screens.
• Added a front-end product page button that lets eligible customers use points per item.
• Added quantity and balance validation for redeem-product cart items.
• Added a shortcode for a shop-style list of redeemable products.
• Added the front-end Loyalty information bubble.
• Added bubble customization for visibility, bottom-left or bottom-right placement, and optional YoOhw credit.
• Added logged-in customer referral coupon display and copy button inside the Loyalty bubble.

Before Updating

1. Back up the site and database.
2. Confirm WooCommerce and WooCommerce Loyalty Premium are active and licensed.
3. Record current Loyalty settings, especially earning rules, redeem rules, referral settings, and customization settings.
4. If you use heavy custom CSS, note any styles that target loyalty front-end components.

After Updating

1. Open WooCommerce > Settings > Loyalty > General and review Advanced earning rules and Redeem products.
2. Edit a simple product and confirm the Product data > Loyalty tab appears when either related feature is enabled.
3. Edit a product category and confirm category earning rules appear when advanced earning is enabled.
4. Create or preview a reward catalog page with the redeem products shortcode.
5. Open Loyalty > Customization and confirm the Loyalty bubble placement and credit setting.
6. Test one order for earning points, one redeem-product checkout, and one referral coupon display if referrals are enabled.

Known Setup Considerations

• Product-level Loyalty settings appear for simple products.
• Leaving a product earning level blank falls back to category or global earning rules.
• Leaving a product redeem level blank means that level cannot redeem that product.
• The reward catalog shortcode only queries products with saved redeem-product rules.
• The Loyalty bubble may need cache clearing before front-end changes are visible.
