Quick Setup: Block Emails, Phones, IPs, and Domains

Block risky email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, and domains in Blacklist Manager and choose the right order action.

Email, phone, IP, and domain blocking are the foundation of Blacklist Manager. Configure one type at a time and test before enabling stronger actions.

Block Email Addresses and Phone Numbers

  1. Go to Blacklist Manager > Dashboard.
  2. Add the email address or phone number to the Blocklist.
  3. Go to Blacklist Manager > Settings > General.
  4. In Email address & Phone number, choose an Order action.
  5. Use Prevent order if you want checkout stopped before the order is created.
  6. Use Cancel order if you want the order created first and canceled afterward.
  7. Click Save Settings.

Block IP Addresses

  1. Go to Blacklist Manager > Dashboard > IP address.
  2. Add the IP address you want to block.
  3. Go to Blacklist Manager > Settings > General.
  4. In IP address, set IP blocking to Limited blocking.
  5. Set the Order action to Prevent order if checkout should be blocked.
  6. Enable registration blocking only if your site allows user registration.
  7. Save settings.

Block Email Domains

  1. Go to Blacklist Manager > Dashboard > Domain.
  2. Add the domain without the email username, for example example.com.
  3. Go to Blacklist Manager > Settings > General.
  4. Enable Domain blocking.
  5. Choose the Order action.
  6. Enable Registration action if blocked domains should not create accounts.
  7. Save settings.

Which Order Action Should You Use?

How To Test

  1. Add a test blocked email or domain.
  2. Open checkout in a private browser window.
  3. Use the blocked detail.
  4. Confirm checkout is blocked, canceled, or allowed according to your selected action.
  5. Remove the test entry after testing.

Expected Result

Known bad emails, phones, IPs, and domains should be handled according to your settings while unrelated customers can still order normally.
