Manage Suspects and Blocked Customers
Manage suspects and blocked customers in Blacklist Manager, including when to watch, block, review, or move customer details between lists.
The Dashboard is where you manage the people and details Blacklist Manager should watch or stop.
Suspect vs Blocked
| Status | Use it when | Typical action |
|---|---|---|
| Suspect | You are not fully sure yet, but the customer or detail deserves review. | Watch, review, or escalate later. |
| Blocked | You are confident this detail should not be allowed to order or submit forms. | Prevent, cancel, or block according to Settings. |
Add A Customer Detail Manually
- Go to Blacklist Manager > Dashboard.
- Choose the relevant tab, such as Suspects or Blocklist.
- Click the add button for a new entry.
- Enter the customer email, phone number, or IP address.
- Add any source or note that helps your team remember why it was added.
- Submit the entry.

Block A Suspect
- Go to Blacklist Manager > Dashboard.
- Open the Suspects list.
- Find the entry by email, phone, IP, or search.
- Use the row action to move or mark it as blocked.
- Confirm the action.
Remove A Wrong Entry
- Search for the email, phone, IP, domain, address, or device.
- Confirm it is the correct entry.
- Use the delete/remove action.
- If a real customer was blocked, ask them to retry checkout after cache and sessions have refreshed.
Premium Dashboard Tabs
With Premium active, the Dashboard can include more tabs such as Device and Address. Use these when fraudsters keep changing emails or phone numbers but reuse the same device, shipping area, or billing address.
Good Team Practice
- Add a short reason when blocking someone.
- Use suspects for uncertain cases instead of blocking immediately.
- Review old blocked entries regularly if your store handles repeat legitimate customers.
- Do not block large IP ranges unless you understand the impact.
For blocking a registered WordPress user account, see Block and Unblock WordPress Users.
Expected Result
Your team should be able to add, review, block, and remove entries without guessing which list to use.
